Equinox is based in Chapel Hill, NC, and has performed together for over ten years. Equinox is a six-piece band (vocals, guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, and saxophone) that produces an exciting blend of jazz and blues. Equinox has been a featured performer at Weaver Street Market (Carrboro’s outdoor live music venue), Hillsborough Jazz Festival, Fayetteville Blues and Brews Festival, Tupelo’s Steak House, as well as being a staple performer at many UNC functions. The band’s previous CD release, entitled “A Table Near the Cheesecake,” has received national radio airplay, and has been used as a soundtrack on The Weather Channel on national cable TV.

Equinox performs original compositions as well as unique arrangements of jazz and blues standards. The band is equally at home on the concert stage or in a quiet supper club atmosphere.
